Who creates the database and how is the trustworthiness of the comments ensured?
The phone number database and ratings are created by the users themselves. They can add their reviews either through the website or through the Call Insider app.
Comments are posted by the users of the website anonymously, so it is not possible to ensure their 100% trustworthiness. We, of course, get requests to remove comments on phone numbers stating that they are a tool of competition and they have been fabricated. We, therefore, reserve the right to delete comments or even disable comments for a particular number.
Every user can deactivate any comment until the moderators deal with it. Just click the bin icon in the bottom right corner, fill in a short form and confirm the email address where a statement on how the moderators dealt with the comment will be sent.
Over the past week, WhatsApp users have been inundated with missed video and voice calls on the platform from a variety of country codes. This is the latest in phishing attempts by scammers that have left India's telecom industry scrambling to deal with ever-growing menace.
A bipartisan coalition of 48 state attorneys general, plus the DC attorney general, sued Avid Telecom on Tuesday, alleging that the company is responsible for billions of illegal spam calls, including calls to the phone numbers on the Do Not Call Registry.

Regularly calls my mobile, I don't answer as the number looks dodgy. Never leaves a message, which is also dodgy, as if they really had something important to say to me, they would leave a message. Have blocked this number.

Called on my mobile, says he's calling about my internet problem. I have no problem, can't understand what he is talking about most of the time - foreign person. Then calls on my home phone. Have had at least a dozen calls from them in the past couple of weeks. I am now refusing to even answer the phone. Wish there was someway we could stop these infuriating scam calls.
